My Thoughts: There is a ton of hype surrounding this brush so I decided to put it to a major test! In the beginning of the clip above you see my hair looking wild and bushy...that's the result of not properly maintaining my braid out at night and by day 5 that's what it looked like. It looked even worse in person and was definitely in need of a good detangling. So I began by shampooing my hair with Elucence and then I slathered my hair with Mop Top Deep Conditioner (review soon) and allowed it to soak in overnight. The next day I finger parted small sections and began working the TT through my hair from end to root....as always. I was a little nervous at first because there is no cushion on this brush, like the Denman and the bristles seemed to short to get through my texture. Although, once I got the hang of it I was very pleased with the results.

In comparison to the Denman, the detangling is very similar. They both do a great job of detangling and can be used for styling. The TT is bigger/wider and allows you to detangle more hair at one time. However, it's size could be a little hard to handle especially to those with small hands. It's bulkiness coupled with a slippery conditioner could be a issue to some as well. I love that the Denman has a handle, but I could see myself using the TT more often. Here are my reasons...

1. It doesn't make my hair coil up into itself, causing me even more shrinkage than I naturally have.
2. My detanging time is cut down because I can work with bigger sections
3. It's wayyy easier to clean. There is no cushion or teeth to remove, simply remove the shed hair, rinse and your done!
4. The pink color makes my day a little brighter lol! Just kidding :)

I won't sit here and say that I'm completly done with the Denman, but I loving the TT for now. Also, those who say that the TT may cause breakage and SSK, I'll keep you updated if I began to have any of those issues.

  2. If you have small hands I find that holding it from the smaller end is more comfortable.

  3. love the tangle teezer, I have pretty thick/dense 4a/b hair and it makes detangling sooo much easier. I've been using it for about a month and I've noticed a major difference in my hair. Its smoother and tangles less if you can believe that?! lol. but also I would say u showed a good example of how to use it in your vid. I use it the same way and haven't experienced breakage or knotting. You still have to be gentle and start at the ends. Just because the teeth are shorter and more flexible you cant just rake or rip it through your hair which might be the misconception. My mother and I love the TT! I have two ;)

  5. I dont really like it :/
I have to go thru my hair with a wide tooth comb first..and the the TT, so it's no benefit.

  6. I am in love with the TT! Putting my type 4 hair in a slick ponytail has become a breeze with this thing. And indeed, holding the brush from the smaller end is more comfortable.

  7. I really don't like the tt at all...too much breakage for me. I rather use my wide tooth comb

  8. I just used mine this weekend too! Def have to use it in smaller sections, otherwise it doesn't detangle well. And I do have small hands so it's hard to handle lOl, but I rinse off the conditioner periodically to make sure it doesn't slip. It was amazing that when I ran a comb through afterward, I found no tangles. It's staying off the shelf :)

  9. It really amazes me that some people with type 3 and 4 a-b hair claim that this brush doesn't work for them. I have very thick dense and course 4C hair and I love this thing. It glides through my hair like butter and has cut my detangling time down by 1/2. But hey, different strokes for different folks.

  10. That's what really surprises me - we all have different views of the TT. I love it but find I still use the Denman because of the handle. I have ok hands but the TT gets slippery.
