Everybody pretty much knows what happened by now, Michael Jackson has passed away. Such a a shock to me and to so many others who grew up on his music. But as I've gotten older I've learned that there is a lesson in everything that happens. This should show everybody that tomorrow is not promised and that it can be your time at any minute. Make the best of your life while you still can. Love you MJ :-)

Probably NOT. This is for all the ladies who love to wear weaves ever now and then or in some cases all the time. It is not intended to put down or ridicule those of you who do wear them but, to educate you on where yours may have come from. Before deciding to go natural and during my transition I wore weaves all the time. For me it had nothing to do with "self hate" or wanting to be white but, I wore them to give my hair a break from constantly flat ironing and all the other bad things I used to do to my hair.
I don't know if all weaves are manufactured in this manner. So my advice is, if you do choose to wear a weave do your proper research.

The opinions in the intro of this video are solely those of the owner. The actual clip used is from a BBC documentary called "Whose Hair Is It Anyway" starring UK superstar Jamelia. I had no luck finding the entire program on-line but, I did manage to find a website that gives you a complete run down of what took place. DailyMail.com check it out when you can.

This chick is awesome. I love her style, her voice, and of course her gorgeous hair. Her YouTube videos always keep me LMBO and informed about the latest celebrity news/gossip. Get to know her.
A few words from her website, AmandaDiva.com ...
"There is an abundance of artists on the planet, writing, singing, producing, etc. But there are only an elite few that stand out. She's known to rock a lot of neon colors but that's not what sets Amanda Diva a part form the crowd . Her uniqueness lies in her uncanny ability to always be herself but ardently feel the emotions of others and articulate them vividly and honestly through music that excites, ignites, and tears the roof off of any venue she sets foot in."
Here are just a couple of her YouTube videos. If you haven't subscribed to her channel yet, you are surely missing out.

This look was inspired by the always glam Miss Rihanna. I love how she turn an over-sized sweater into a sexy mini dress and spiced it up with some very sexy pumps. With all that being said, one must understand that this chick is a celebrity and can get away with walking down the street wearing only a sweater and heels. Regular chicas not so much. So to down play the sexiness just add a simple white dress underneath and add some color to give it some life.
A more modest look for the everyday woman.

Last night I was watching Teyana Taylor's Live Ustream broadcast ( I was bored...lol) and she started doing her hair live on the internet. I always wondered if her hair was real or not and I'm beginning to think that it is. She did in some kind of half up half down, mo-hawk with twists on the sides kind of style. Sounds weird but it came out cute. Anyway when I tuned in she was applying some hair lotion to her hair and then curling it with a curling iron. For a split second she gave a close up of the bottle and it was Roots Of Nature Shea Butter & Green Tea Moisturizer. I had never seen this product in a store before but I remember my mother-in-law asking me if it was any good or not. I still haven't tried it yet but they way Teyana's hair looked I just might.

About.com says... Purple is royalty. A mysterious color, purple is associated with both nobility and spirituality. The opposites of hot red and cool blue combine to create this intriguing color. Purple has a special, almost sacred place in nature: lavender, orchid, lilac, and violet flowers are often delicate and considered precious. Because purple is derived from the mixing of a strong warm and strong cool color it has both warm and cool properties. A purple room can boost a child's imagination or an artist's creativity. Too much purple, like blue, could result in moodiness.
Purple is one of my favorite colors. It looks great on just about every skin tone. From very light like Rihanna, to dark complexions like India Arie. You just have to find the shade that works best for you.
I got my eye on those Naughty Monkey - Mosaic pumps...They are soo cute :-)

1. Briefly explain your hair routine.
I make no-poos. I use soft (mild) soap to clean my hair but only when it is very dirty. After my shampoo, I apply a mask, which I choose according to the state of my hair and the mood I'm in. I alternate between Garnier's the mask, walnut oil and leaf peach tree, hair mayo or my own homemade mask. Then I rinse my hair with lemon juice to remove the limestone that's put on my hair from the shampoo. I hydrate my hair with my own homemade cream. Lastly, I plait my hair up to prevent too much shrinkage and in the morning I'll have a nice afro.
