The video is pretty self explanatory and I included some flat ironing tips as well. As it states in the video I recorded this tutorial on 11/24 and maintained the look up until 12/14 by simply sticking to a very simple night routine of pin curling. I recorded clips of that process as well and I hope to get it edited and uploaded asap.
Check out the video after the jump! Enjoy :)

What do you when the cramps finally let up and your home alone...bored!? Well, you go on YouTube and check up on your subscriptions...duh! Chescalocs is one of my absolute favorite youtubers. She's super creative, funny and her locs are gorgeous! I also love that most, if not all, of her hair tutorials can be adapted to loose natural hair or even long relaxed hair. Her lastest series of videos features her friend Busayo, who demonstrates the various ways one can wrap a turban. Some are simple and others are a bit more daring, but all looks are cute and very easy to recreate. Below is my fave look from the series...

Where do you live? How is the natural hair community there?
I live in London, England. The majority of women I see have relaxed hair, although I do have a few friends who have decided to go natural. Nowadays I do see more natural divas compared to when I first did the big chop. I feel so happy when people decide to take the plunge, whether they are in my circle or not!
When and why did you decide to go natural?
I decided to go natural in December 2006. My hair was dyed red, and I had just relaxed my hair. It was damaged and that was the last straw for me. In my younger days I had long hair. However, growing up and experimenting with every style going was not good for my strands. I was also inspired by the ladies on Long Hair Care Forum.
I transitioned for 18 months and braved the big chop in June 2008 (my BC video). I was out with friends and had an overwhelming urge to go home and cut my hair (weird I know). It was liberating though!

If you follow me on Twitter, then you already know I straightened my hair last Wednesday. I tweeted a pic, but didn't really have much time to really get into to it. However, I did record the whole flat ironing process and HOPEfully..notice the emphasis on hope...I'll have it posted this week.
Until then continue reading to see how my hair has been holding up...

This video was recorded on 11/11 right after I took my twists out. I used clear Eco Styler Gel, Kera Care's Leave In Conditioner and Kera Care's Butter Cream Everyday Moisturizer. Awesome combination!!! The video shows the entire process and I made sure to include lots of tips :)
Enjoy and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
