Tracee Ellis Ross Talks "Carla Reed's" Fashion w/ BET!

Have you been watching BET's new sitcom "Reed Between The Lines"? I have! Some say the first few episodes of any new series is kind of slow and dry, well I'm hoping that's true. Besides the awesome "natural hair" episode they've all been a little boring. However in my boredom I tend to focus on other things like...Carla Reed's hair (of course) and those outfits!! Carla is played by the amazing Tracee Ellis Ross, who kills the looks every scene. Peep the video above to check out Carla's closet and find out how those gorgeous looks come together.

**My fave look so far is the yellow blouse, blue maxi skirt and black sweater in episode #2 (I think)...I've been trying to find a blue maxi skirt in that exact color ever since lol!!

Corrine Bailey Rae Shares Hair Tips With BET!

BET caught up with one of every curly girl's favorite curly girl, Corrine Bailey Rae, to chat about that gorgeous mane of hers during Fashion Week. Read below for the interview highlights

Her fave products...

“Most of the time when I do my hair I wash it and I use two different Aveda products: Shampure and Aveda Damage Remedy,” she said.

On maintaining healthy ends...

Most of the people I know say ‘Oh I haven’t cut my hair in seven years, it never grows it’s been this way the whole time,’ when really it hasn’t been that way, it’s been grown.”

“If you get the ends cut solid so they don’t split they’re not going to break and your hair’s going to grow. People who think their hair doesn’t grow, it’s not true, everyone’s hair grows. You are cutting your hair with your hair brush and comb if you’re not getting it cut regularly. The breakage at the end makes you think it’s not growing.”

Keeping it simple...

“Put the conditioner in it, comb it out, then wash out the conditioner. Braid it into four big plats and keep it like that for a day. Then unravel the braids and you have curls that will stay.”

Congrats to Esperanza Spalding Best New Artist Grammy Winner

Most of us naturals are familiar with Esperanza and have enjoyed her music and her gorgeous fro for some time now. However, it seems her name is a bit unknown amongst the younger Bieber type crowds lol! Viewers were stunned when her name was called as the winner, beating out big names like Justin Bieber and Drake in the Best New Artist category. Heck, I didn't even know she was nominated for anything lol!! Since her win, the fans of the other nominees (mainly the Bieber fans) have been voicing their anger via twitter and other outlets, basically saying she doesn't deserve the win. Well kids, sometimes it's more about the music and talent than sales...sorry :)

Solange & Rihanna Attend Brunch With RocNation

Rihanna, never one to be too subtle, looked gorgeous in a simple white dress and fab nude spiked heels. She kept the makeup simple and let all the focus go to her big red kinky hair. I absolutely love this wig on her!! Heck, it might just be my new length goal lol! The color is a bit much, but it works for the business she's in.

Solange provided the music for the pre Grammy's event and looked simple and cute with her extra long braids. I love the shoes and purse!! My one issue with the look is that the braids need to be refreshed. When your hair starts peeking through the length of the extensions, it's time for a re do.
